Adewale Giwa, the Senior Pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming of Jesus Christ Ministry, has expressed his willingness to lead a genuine protest against poor governance in Nigeria.
In a statement issued in Akure, Ondo State, Giwa criticized the lack of sincerity in previous protests, stating that many are not genuinely driven by the people’s interests.
Giwa emphasized that any protest must be well-planned and truly representative of the people’s suffering, especially the hungry.
He criticized state governors for failing to alleviate poverty and urged President Bola Tinubu to take immediate steps to reduce the prices of petrol and foodstuffs to ease the hardship faced by Nigerians.
He called on the President to act swiftly, reminding him of his role in the fight for democracy and warning against allowing history to remember him negatively.
Giwa urged Tinubu to open land borders and reduce the cost of essential goods, stressing the need for justice, equity, and fairness in governance.
