Osun State governor, Mr Gboyega Oyetola has said his government has overlooked the misconduct of a few disgruntled people in Ede and that’s why a new fire station is constructed in the town.

Governor Oyetola made the disclosure on Thursday in Ede while commissioning the new fire station in the town.

The Governor who his deputy Mr Benedict Alabi alongside former minister of health Prof. Isaac Adewole and some eminent personalities accompanied to the commissioning programme said his administration sees Ede as a big town in the State and so cannot be denied of its entitlements despite what some people in
Ede did to the contractors handling the major roads in the ancient town.

He charged people to see public utilities as theirs and guide them jealously just as he stressed the need for all to always pay their taxes and dues to the Government.
Governor Oyetola informed the people of Ede that he ordered officials of the ministry of works to do preliminary works on other
strategic roads in the town Earlier, a former speaker of the state parliament, Honourable Adejare Bello had on behalf of Ede people apologised to the Governor for what he called unrully behaviour of a few undesirable elements who disturbed contractors handling Ede roads.

The Timi of Edeland,Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal who spoke through the Baba Kekere of Edeland pledged the support of the people of Ede to the administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
