Operatives of the Anambra state police command while on surveillance patrol along Niger street in Onitsha have intercepted one Felix Owaya aged 48years, of Ika south local government area of Delta state and recovered three hundred and seventy five live cartridges.
According to a statement by the police spokesperson Tochukwu Ikenga made available to newsmen, the suspected notorious gunrunner confessed that he was sent by one Mr. Charles Ogbonna to a man he is yet to mention and collect the ammunition.
The Anambra state police commissioner CP Nnaghe Itam while commending officers and men of the command who made the recovery, charged them to sustain the tempo of crime prevention and detection in service to the people of the state.
