A Kano State High Court has issued a landmark ruling, ordering the immediate eviction of Aminu Ado Bayero, the 15th Emir of Kano, from the palace.

The court also directed the Commissioner of Police to take control of the palace.

Furthermore, the court has restrained Bayero and four others – Nasiru Ado Bayero (Bichi), Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar II (Karaye), Kabiru Muhammad Inuwa (Rano), and Aliyu Ibrahim Gaya (Gaya) – from parading themselves as Emirs.

This ruling follows an exparte motion filed by Ibrahim Isa Wangida Esq, counsel to the applicant, before Justice Amina Adamu Aliyu’s court.

The court’s decision marks a significant development in the ongoing dispute over the Emir of Kano title.
