The Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, has given his nod to the appointment of Mr. Kehinde Olufemi Onasanya as the fresh Head of the Service for Ogun State.
Onasanya will succeed Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun, who has served commendably before retiring.
Prior to this designation, Mr. Onasanya held the position of Permanent Secretary at the Bureau of Political Affairs and Administration. His journey in the Civil Service began as an Information Officer, GL. 08 on December 2nd, 1993, advancing steadily to the rank of Director GL. 17, and eventually assuming the role of Permanent Secretary on October 2nd, 2020.
Recognized for his professionalism, media management prowess, and administrative acumen, Mr. Onasanya is affiliated with numerous professional bodies, including the Nigerian Union of Journalists and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
Throughout his tenure as Permanent Secretary, he has contributed his expertise to various agencies, notably the Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, and the Bureau of Political Affairs and Administration.
Among his accolades, Mr. Onasanya was honored with the prestigious Ogun State Award in May 2006, followed by a first runner-up position the subsequent year. He also clinched the title of the best reporter in the House of Assembly Category in 1999, courtesy of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Ogun State Council.
Mr. Onasanya is happily married with children, poised to undertake his new responsibilities with diligence and dedication.
