As the world celebrates Easter, the Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, has called on Christians in the state to live the teachings and virtues and message of love by Jesus Christ.

He noted that God manifested His power through the resurrection of Christ, which according to him, symbolises hope for good time to come after trials and tribulation.

Abiodun said though is a time for the Christians to celebrate the rise of Jesus, the period should however be used to offer prayers to God for His mercy on the country in general and Ogun State, in particular.

While calling for sober reflection on the death of Jesus on Mount Calvary, his genuine love and intercession for mankind, the governor said Easter should be made special by the followers of Christ, by showing love and compassion towards their neighbours, communities, state and country.

Abiodun added that as Jesus conquered death and rose after three days in the tomb, God will help Nigeria to overcome his present challenges.

He, however, reiterated his administration’s commitment to the delivery of good governance in terms of socioeconomic and infrastructural development.
