Ogun Muslim Community Drums Support For Dapo Abiodun’s Re-election

The Ogun State Muslim Community have been urged to support the reelection bid of Prince Dapo Abiodun, describing his administration as operational, muslim friendly and people’s oriented governor.

Sheik Iskeel Lawal (Sugar), the Senior Consultant to the Governor on Islamic Affairs and Wakeelul – Muslimeen of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta made this call today in Abeokuta, the State’s capital during an interview with Tropic Reporters correspondent.

Sheik Iskeel Lawal said Abiodun has beyond reasonable doubt, proved his mettle to lead Ogun State to greater heights based on his administration’s commitment to Infrastructural development as well as key interventions in various sector in the state.

He said the governor has over the past three years been responsive to the yearnings of the entire muslin community, most especially empowerment programme for the youths and the widows.

“as we move closer to the critical process that will culminate in the 2023 general election, it has become necessary, not only to inform the Muslim community of our determination to support the administration, but to ensure the reelection of Governor Abiodun for a second term in office”.

“As we all know, Ogun State government under the leadership of Prince Dapo Abiodun has over the past three years experienced transformational change and unprecedented commitment to Ogun State muslim community”.

“Prince Abiodun has remained committed to the yearning of the muslim community in the state for approving the use of cape-size hijab as part of the school uniform of female Muslim students in all the government-owned schools, provisions for our windows, empowerment programme for the youths and welfare packages for the League of Imams & Alfas”, he said.
