40 Trapped in Abuja Building Collapse

At least 40 people are feared trapped following the collapse of a building under construction in the Sabon Lugbe area of Abuja on Saturday.

Emergency responders and concerned locals quickly arrived at the scene, working tirelessly to rescue those still caught beneath the debris.

According to initial findings, the building collapsed in the early hours, sparking immediate calls for intervention by government agencies and additional emergency responders. Witnesses at the scene voiced concerns, urging for further support to accelerate rescue efforts.

One eyewitness, who requested anonymity, shared, “No fewer than 40 persons are currently trapped in a collapsed building that occurred in the Sabon Lugbe area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. People are under this rubble.”

Rescue operations are ongoing as the city awaits further updates on the situation.
