The former Majority leader of the Ogun state house of Assembly, the late Hon Yinka Mafe has once again been described as a diligent and hardworking politician who selflessly served the people of his constituency and Ogun state in general.

The immediate past Governor of the state and the Senator representing Ogun central senatorial district, Senator Ibikunle Amosun who led a powerful delegation of the APC to the family House of the Mafes in Emuren , Sagamu local government ,described the late Majority leader as a grassroot political mobiliser who was very passionate about the welfare of others.

“Mafe was one of us, indeed we are only consoling ourselves. It was as if he knew, he did so much and was very passionate. His exit was a painful and sad moment for us”

Senator Amosun urged the family to accept the death in good faith as “there was nothing we could do to reverse the sad event. Concluding that”late Mafe was a lively person whose death was a terrible blow to all us” He thereafter prayed to the Amighty to give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

Mr Babatunde Sonubi expressed the family’s gratitude to Senator Amosun and his entourage for the visit.

The former governor’s entourage include Senator Lekan Mustafa representing Ogun east senatorial district, Hon Kunle Akinlade, APM governorship candidate in the last general election, Chief Derin Adebiyi, Ogun state APC chairman, Alhaji Tunde Okewole and a host of others.

The late Hon Mafe represented Sagamu 1, state constituency between 2011 and 2019 in the Ogun state house of Assembly.
