Why Amotekun Is Yet To Be On Stream In Ogun – Commander Ganzallo

The Commander of Ogun State Community Social Orientation and Safety Corps,So-Safe, Soji Ganzallo has given reasons why Amotekun is yet to be functional in the state.

Ganzallo disclosed this when he received the new executive members of the federated Chapel of Ogun NUJ in his office at the Command Headquarters, Oke-ilewo, Abeokuta.

He said” we have done the first and second Screening exercise.So, We have prospective Amotekun officers that have been screened on our list. But,the governor will come up with the board of Amotekun and Commander for Amotekun. And the recruitment will follow and the training of prospective Amotekun will start.
This is what is delaying it”.

Ganzallo, while congratulating the new executives , described the chapel as strong pillar behind the security agency and likewise the So-Safe has been having a robust relationship with the chapel.

“it is an attestation and confidence reposed in you that you can lead the Chapel to greater heights,I congratulate you all and pray that God will continue to be with you as you have been saddled with the assignment”.

Highlighting some of the achievements of the agency in the areas of social orientation, security and safety, Ganzallo said that Corps has massively played prominent roles securing lives and property,orientating the populace in the State on Covid-19 protocols and inauguration of the So-Safe Club in some Primary Schools,while that of Secondary schools will soon be inaugurated.

He hinted that a Special Security Marshalls which members of the Chapel will be in would have been inaugurated but for the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Current Chairman of the Chapel, Mr.Lanre Adegboyega in his address said the Courtesy visit was borne out of the need for the new executives to familiarize with the agency so as to further strengthen the existing cordial relationship between the two organizations.
