The Governor assured that his administration would continue do its best for the well-being of the Public Service workers both in the State and Local Government Services, despite the leans resources accruing to the coffers of the state.

Governor Akeredolu spoke during a courtesy visit to his office in Akure, by members of the Board of the Local Government Service Commission led by the Chairman, Mr Femi Idris.

Mr Idris said the Governor has unrivalled passion towards the development of the state, despite the challenges of insecurity and paucity of funds.

He said:”We commend you for remaining focused and resolute in the pursuit of the set goals of your administration in spite of recent moves by some miscreants to dent your unsurpassable and exemplary record of excellence in the general security and the maintenance of law and order.

“We will like to take this medium to
commend you for your doggedness and unwavering commitment to the security and the welfare of the good people of Ondo State.”he said.

The Chairman informed Governor Akeredolu of the alignment of the policy direction of the commission with that of the Governor’s 2nd Term 8-Point Development Agenda, 2021-2025, code named, REDEEMED.

“Permit me to place on record some of your achievements in the area of grassroots development with regard to the fixing of some bad roads and the opening of new ones for use.

“Also, your enthronement of a truly democratic political architecture at the grassroots in addition to the provision of security for the people through empowerment of officers and men of the Ondo State Security Network, also called, Amotekun, to deal with threats to law and order is commendable.

Mr. Idris equally appreciated the Governor for the labour friendly policies that have engendered an atmosphere of peace and tranquility within the workforce of Ondo State, particularly in the Local Government Service.

“The labour friendly policies of your administration have ensured since our assumption of office, that we have not been called out to resolve any trade dispute whether on account of wages or conditions of service”, the Chairman stated.
