The Apex body of the Yoruba Youths, Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide(YCYW) has raised alarm over what it termed the plot of Aso Rock cabal to foist “Northern Oligarchy” on the Nation.

Speaking to the journalists in Lagos on Monday,  the President of the Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide,  Aremo Oladotun Hassan,Esq said the news making rounds on the surreptitious humiliation of the office of the Vice-President,  Prof. Yemi Osinbajo is targeted at weakening the the highest political office exclusively and democratically meant for the south-western people of Nigeria, while causing unnecessary hullabaloo within the political family of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, with the sole objective of orchestrating an attrition towards dividing the good people of South West(Yoruba) in general, while setting them on a collusion cause against other southern regions, clandestinely  to prepare the grounds for unimpeded easy conquest of the region in furtherance of their plots to eternally perpetuate Northern domination, post-2023.

He said, “We are not oblivious of the premeditated plans by some cabal within the Presidency to play divide and rule chess game in the South West”. He further noted that, the cabal has seen Osinbajo as a threat, hence the well-orchestrated plot to bring him down by all means, and further implants evil seeds of discord in the country.

“We want to make it clear to the public, that the people of the South-West are smarter and very perceptible. They can never fall for such devious machinations aimed at weakening the South West to pave way for the Oligarchy to continue to dominate Nigeria, even after 2023 when President Muhammadu Buhari’s legally entitled 2nd term in office would have expired”.

We shall resolve at the appropriate time on the best choice candidate from the region for President come 2023, for it is too early to distract governance and dividends of democracy expectations of the majority of Nigerians at the expense of flimsy political treachery.

The nation is undergoing lots of harrowing times viz: insecurity, poverty, corruption and need to strengthen rule of law, hence the need for absolute cooperation by all tiers of governments, alongside critical stakeholders and the civil society on the need to jointly fostering aggressive human resources growths, infrastructure and short and long term economic sustainable development programs.

Nigerians are aware of the “hyenas and Jackals” that have held Aso Rock villa to ransom, which necessitated the alarm raised by First Lady, Hajia Aisha Buhari sometimes ago that “one or two” people,  that were not elected have hijacked governance and are ruling by proxy.

“Let us restate our resolve to defend the interest of the South-West and by extension rally nation-wide support to thwart the systematic denigration of the Office of Vice-President (OVP). We would do everything within the ambit of the law and with available resources at our disposal to stop the onslaught of the cabal”.
