Abeokuta Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture has appointed four notable members on Tropic Reporters platform as President, 2nd Deputy President, Deputy Treasurer and Council members respectively.
Tropic Reporters members who were appointed by the Board of Trustees of Abeokuta Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture Chaired by Iyalode Alaba Lawson, MFR (Matron) and Alhaji Sakirudeen Tunji Labode, FCNA (Patron) include; Sir Jare Oyesola, KJW, Mr. Timothy Erigbemi Shorunke, ACA, Mr. Solomon Enilolobo and Asiwaju Dapo Wahab, JP alongside other twenty appointees.
The other members comprises, Otunba A. Babs Adesanya, Engr. Kelani Dawood, Engr. Oluyomi Olutoye, Engr. Lekan Jiboku, Chief Kunle Ewuoso, Mrs Fausat Akinbo, Mr. Ibrahim Bada, Alhaji Moruf Popoola, Alhaji Taiwo Raji.
Others includes Alhaji Semiu Ogunyemi, Alhaji Tapfik Lawal, Mr. David Ajayi, Prof. Adetoun Amubode, Prince Olumide Agbasi, Mr. Olawunmi Jiboku, Alhaji Wasiu Olaleye and Alhaja M.A. Dawood.
Abeokuta Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture as a Non-profit business organization was formally established in the ancient city of Abeokuta in 1976 to promote and protect Trade, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, to collect and disseminate statistical data and information relating to trade, commerce, shipping, industry, manufacture, mines and agriculture, to educate members of the business community particular its members on the likely viable business ventures by publishing in newsletter, newspapers and periodicals and to organize, promote and sponsor trade or/and industrial exhibitions, fairs and symposia.
Consistently, the investiture of the newly appointed Executive Committee, Council Members and decoration of honourary life vice presidents of the Chamber was held on Thursday 25th June, 2020 at the Chamber’s Conference Hall with strict adherence to government’s directives on physical distance rules to curb the community spread of Covid-19.
