Bayern Munich has finally decided that attacking midfielder, James Rodriguez will not leave the Allianz Arena in this January transfer window, amid interest from Premier League giants, Arsenal.

Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, is reportedly targeting a move for Rodriguez.

Rodriguez has spent the last 18 months on loan at Bayern Munich from Real Madrid and his future beyond the summer is uncertain, as he has struggled to hold down a spot this season.

However, Bayern’s sporting director, Hasan Salihamidzic said the club will decide on Rodriguez’s future at the end of the season.

Asked if Bayern will sign Rodriguez on permanent basis or let him leave to join Arsenal, Salihamidzic was quoted by Mirror UK

as saying: “We will look at the second half of the season and we will draw the right conclusions.”

“This is not Bayern’s style,” Salihamidzic added.

“If we decide to sign a player, then he also remains a part of Bayern.”
