Training and Development Consultant, Ifeoluwa Adesanya Bags Community Service Award In Ogun

…reiterates commitment to community development

A young Nigerian Technical and Vocational Education Training Consultant from Ogun State, Ifeoluwa Adesanya has been recognized with a Community Service Award for his dedication to community development.

Ifeoluwa Adesanya, who is also a Community Leader and the Lead Strategist, Intelfix Consults, a Management Consulting Firm, bagged the award recently courtesy of Mawuko Area Community Development Committee (CDC), Odeda Local Governement in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

In his remark shortly after the award presentation from the Chairman of the Community Development Association, Alhaji Kalejaiye Muideen, the award awardee, Ifeoluwa Adesanya thanked the CDC for rewarding his contributions towards human and community development in terms of capacity trainings, among other laudable Initiatives and pledged his commitment to community development.

He said, “I was honored with an award of recognition among my peers for my dedication and hardwork to the development of Mawuko Area Community Development Committee (CDC), by the chairman, Alhaji Kalejaiye Muideen”.

“In the space of 8 months, from November 2022 to August 2023, I decided to be actively involved in my Community Development Association (CDA) and also at Mawuko Area Community Development Committee (CDC), Odeda LGA”.

“Firstly, I was nominated to be the secretary of the committee for skill acquisition and vocational education by one of the chairmen of a neighboring CDAs”.

“On 24th of December 2022, I delivered a lecture to 51 youths at Alayo Zone within Mawuko Area CDC on business and financial literacy, which resulted in the establishment of an ICT center in my community”.

 

“On the 7th of January 2023, Young African Leaders Initiative Network Ogun (A youth-based organization I was opportune to lead in 2021/2022) had a Medical Outreach at Abule Ayo Mawuko, with over 100 beneficiaries (which I assisted with planning)”.

“On 25th March 2023, we inaugurated Chief Engr., Adeoye Information Communication and Technology Centre and we started training 37 youths in digital literacy (understanding the computer, Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel), which lasted for 5 months”.

“On 15th April 2023, during a 3-day skill acquisition program at Mawuko Area CDC, I delivered a lecture on how to ensure they start a business from the skills they have acquired to 91 youths”.

“On 26th August 2023, during the first Anniversary of the Mawuko Area Community Development Committee, we had our first set of graduates (16 youths) from the ICT center”.

“My joy and fulfillment are seeing to the development of our youths ensuring they can implement all they have learnt”.

“According to a quote by the United Nations says, “Community development is about building relationships, creating opportunities, and improving the quality of life for all”.

“Special appreciation to My CDA chairman, Mr. Nasiru, Abiodun Paul Okusolubo(Chairman Ibale Okan CDA), Mr. Rodemade (Chairman, Skills Acquisition and Vocational Committee, Mawuko Area CDC), and my family”, he added.
