In a call for calm and patience, Hon. Aderemi Oseni, the lawmaker representing Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency, has urged Nigerians to give President Bola Tinubu more time to address the nation’s pressing challenges.

Oseni emphasized that the issues confronting the country are surmountable, and that Nigerians should maintain faith in the administration.

Speaking on Sunday at the launch of a N250 million empowerment initiative for the Blacksmith, Welders, Iron Benders, and Metal Technicians Association of Nigeria (BWAIAN), Oseni appealed for continued support for President Tinubu, despite current economic hardships.

The event took place at Bembo Game Village, Apata, in the Ido Local Government Area of Oyo State.

Acknowledging that some of the policies introduced by the Tinubu administration are difficult, Oseni stressed that these measures are necessary for Nigeria to achieve a brighter future.

“Efforts by President Tinubu to fix Nigeria will soon yield positive results. Nigerians should keep their hope alive for a better and prosperous Nigeria as challenges facing the country are surmounted,” Oseni stated.

The lawmaker further praised Tinubu’s dedication to improving the lives of Nigerian citizens. “Tinubu, as a friend of the masses and promoter of mankind, is concerned about how to make life better and more meaningful for Nigerian citizens,” he added.

On the empowerment initiative, Oseni explained that the N250 million programme is designed to boost the skills, productivity, and economic potential of metal artisans in the state.

He lauded the resilience and contributions of blacksmiths, welders, and other metal workers, recognizing their pivotal role in Oyo State’s economy.

As the Chairman of the House Committee on the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Oseni noted that the empowerment scheme is part of his larger agenda to uplift artisans.

The initiative will provide BWAIAN members with essential tools, machinery, and financial support to help them expand their businesses and improve their livelihoods.

“The N250 million initiative includes the distribution of essential tools, equipment, and financial grants to BWAIAN members, aiming to expand their businesses, boost their incomes, and contribute to the state’s economic development,” Oseni emphasized.

In his remarks, Munirudeen Rauf, the state leader of BWAIAN, praised Oseni for his generosity and urged other leaders and affluent individuals to support small and medium-scale enterprises.

Rauf assured that the provided equipment would be used effectively to benefit the association’s members.
