President Bola Tinubu arrived in Ondo State for a condolence visit to the late governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s family in Owo. Following this, he is scheduled to visit the national leader of the Pan Yoruba Socio-Political Group, Afenifere Pa Reuben Fasoranti, in Akure.
Tinubu’s visit included a stop at the Olowo of Owo Kingdom, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye.
The President touched down at Akure Airport at 11:35 am via a Nigerian Air Force jet, where a presidential parade awaited him at the terminal.
Notable figures, including Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Ekiti Governor Biodun Oyebanji, top government functionaries, and prominent politicians, were present to welcome Tinubu.
The welcoming committee included the chairman of the state party, Ade Adetimehin, along with other party leaders.
Governorship aspirants, including business mogul Jimoh Ibrahim, were also in attendance at the airport to receive the President.
