President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of the Chairman of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), Hon Wahab Alawiye-King as Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs, Strategy and Policy.
In this new capacity, the Lagos SUBEB Chairman will coordinate the public affairs, strategy and policy initiatives of the Office of the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, OON.
It was gathered authoritatively that Alawiye-King will resign his position as SUBEB Chairman anytime from now.
This platform had recently honoured Alawiye-King as the recipient of the inaugural LMT Award of Excellence in Educational Reforms on account of his sterling and commendable performance as SUBEB Chairman.
A thoroughbred professional, Alawiye-King had previously served as member of the Lagos State House of Assembly where he equally gave a good account of himself.

Also, a source said intense lobbying is already in full scale on who succeeds Alawiye-King as Lagos SUBEB Chairman.
The Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu will soon name a new Chairman for the Board which is critical in ensuring an effective and efficient primary education system in the state.
