Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu, has appointed eight new Federal Permanent Secretaries to fill existing and impending vacancies in the Civil Service of the Federation.
The appointments were made after a rigorous selection process by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
The new Permanent Secretaries are Dr. Emanso Umobong Okop from Akwa-Ibom, Obi Emeka Vitalis from Anambra, Mahmood Fatima Sugra Tabi’a from Bauchi, Danjuma Mohammed Sanusi from Jigawa, Olusanya Olubunmi from Ondo, Dr. Keshinro Maryam Ismaila from Zamfara, Akujobi Chinyere Ijeoma from the South-East, and Isokpunwu Christopher Osaruwanmwen from the South-South.
According to a statement by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, the President expects the new appointees to demonstrate dedication, diligence, and fidelity in their duties, ensuring optimal service delivery to the Nigerian people.
This development is seen as a significant step in strengthening the nation’s civil service and enhancing its effectiveness in implementing government policies and programs.
