…Seven Experts Named to Lead Critical Programmes and Agencies
ABUJA – President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of seven new heads of agencies and programmes under the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.
Dr. Badamasi Lawal has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA). Ms. Funmilola Olotu will serve as the Programme Manager of the National Social Safety-Net Coordinating Office. Ms. Aishat Alubankudi has been named as the Programme Manager of the Grant for Vulnerable Groups.
Princess Aderemi Adebowale will lead the Home Grown School Feeding programme as Programme Manager. Mr. Abdullahi Alhassan Imam has been appointed as the Programme Manager of the National Cash Transfer Office. Mr. Ayuba Gufwan will serve as the Executive Secretary of the National Commission for People with Disabilities. Ms. Lami Binta Adamu Bello has been named as the Director General of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons.
According to a statement by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, the appointees are expected to discharge their duties with utmost integrity and diligence, ensuring that vulnerable groups are the direct beneficiaries of the administration’s welfare programmes.
The appointments take effect immediately.
