A Non Governmental Organization, “Save Our Schools Foundation” (SOSF) based in Seattle , State of Washington , United State of America has urged the Nigeria Police Force to ensure full prosecution against every suspect found culpable in the gruesome murder of Mr. Timothy Adegoke, an MBA student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
The foundation in a petition addressed to the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba and signed by its Chairperson, Latifat Sanusi requested for a deligient investigation and summarily prosecution of every culprits in Adegoke’s murder.
It would be recalled that Adegoke was reportedly murdered at an hotel in Ie-Ife some hours to writing his final MBA examination.
It was further reported that Adegoke’s corpse was found at a shallow grave opposite the hotel.
Reacting to the gruesome murder, the Save our Soul foundation stressed that there must be thorough investigation of the misery behind Adegoke’s burial in a shallow grave without legal authorization.
Sanusi in the petition maintained that everyone connected to the perpetration of the murder must be made to face the music, no matter how highly placed.
The petition reads partly, “The above named Organization is using this medium to request for Your Special Interest to deligiently investigate and summarily prosecute every suspect found culpable in the gruesome murder of Mr. TIMOTHY ADEGOKE an MBA student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
“Recognising the fact that the Protection of the lives of students in and outside the school premises is the collective Responsibility of every citizen, however, the Nigerian Police is with greater expectation of the premium for the protection of lives and properties of the Citizens.
“The unfortunate death of Mr TIMOTHY ADEGOKE at an hotel in Ile- Ife on the eve of his MBA Examination must be thoroughly investigated and the misery behind his burial in a shallow grave without legal authorization must be unraveled.
“Realizing that deligient prosecution and getting of judgement against the perpetrators of this heinous crime will serve as deterrent to others, therefore everyone connected to the perpetration of this wicked act must be made to face the music, no matter how highly placed…”No Sacred Cow”.
“Consequently, we are appealing to you to please use your good office to ensure that Justice is speedily serve on the aforementioned subject matter.”
