Date:

Reading time: 1 Minute

At the historic Ijegba Forest in Kemta, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Chief Dr. Abiodun Oladimeji Lasile DL and Professor Akinwande Babatunde Oluwole Soyinka CFR converged to celebrate a remarkable nonagenarian of a Lion. This significant event was made even more special by the presence of these two distinguished individuals the alter ego of another.

The SixthSense Initiative, a registered nonprofit organisation founded by Abiodun Lasile DL, is dedicated to promoting children’s reading culture and human capacity development. We are deeply grateful for the support, association and recognition from the world-renowned Professor Wole Soyinka.

In 2018, Prof. Soyinka graciously flagged off the foremost SixthSense Summer Children Reading Camp, which has since blossomed into a vibrant platform for reviving and revitalising Nigeria’s reading culture. This year’s edition is scheduled for August 4-10, 2024 which is the 7th edition of the annual programme.

Our mission is to instill a love for reading in children aged 7-15 through engaging teaching methods, mentoring, demonstrations, and lectures. Our comprehensive programmes and concepts are carefully designed to nurture and groom tomorrow’s leaders, empowering them to reach their full potential.

Let us make our children read again by cooperation and sponsorship of various SixthSense advocacies.
