Governor Babagana Umara Zulum was this evening at headquarters of the Bank of Industry in Abuja. The Governor sought the bank’s support in the area of empowering citizens of Borno State so that they can be self employed and have means of sustainable livelihoods.
Governor Zulum, who met the bank’s managing director and chief executive officer, Mr. Olukayode Pitan and top executives of the bank, made a special case for citizens of Borno State given the challenges of insurgency which has made thousands of citizens lose their means of livelihoods.
The bank’s CEO, Mr Pitan assured the Governor of support for Borno people, saying that the bank had a peculiar recognition for the State in relation to the challenges the state has faced.
Governor Zulum was earlier at the Presidential villa for a high level meeting before heading to the bank of industry.
While in Abuja, the Governor is expected to follow up with different establishments of the Federal Government to pursue developmental needs of the State and try to further establish new avenues that will benefit the populace.
