Students Death: Ogun NANS/JCC Declares Fasting and Prayers

The leadership of National Association of Ogun State Students (NANS/JCC) have declared a 3-day fasting and prayers following the sudden demise of two of it’s students from Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic and Federal Polytechnic Ilaro.

According to a statement issued by Comrade Adeyemi Samson Ajasa, Chairman of NANS/JCC, Ogun State Axis and obtained by our correspondent in Abeokuta described the recent demise of Nigerian Students in the state as saddened and a bad experience to the students Community.

Comrade Ajasa noted that the three days fasting and prayers became necessary in order to seek the help of God Almighty and equally His divine protection over the lives and properties of Nigerian Students in Ogun State.

He said, “It’s so saddening and tragedic for the teeming leadership of The National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Committee Ogun State Axis (NANS/JCC OGUN) to receive news about the demise of one of our member who until he demise was the current Social Director of Federal Polytechnic Ilaro. We lost him to the cold hand of death few days ago”.

“Early this morning, we received another news about the demise of our colleague from Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic, Ijebu Igbo who finished his ND II examinations recently and signed out. It was gathered that he felt sick for some days, went for a test and the result showed he had typhoid and that was the end of his life journey”.

“This really saddened the heart of Nigerian Students in the Gateway state and with the recent death occurrences experienced in the student community recently, the leadership of NANS OGUN JCC ably led by Comrade Adeyemi Samson Ajasa has declared a three day fasting and prayer to seek the help of God Almighty and equally His divine protection over the lives and properties of Nigerian Students in the Gateway State”.

“The designated days after due consultations from spiritual leaders and stakeholders are Thursday 25th, Friday 26th, Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th February as Thanksgiving service to God Almighty will hold via Zoom Application”.

“We implore all Nigerian Students in the Gateway State to please observe the fast and visit their places of worship based on personal faith and practice and seek God’s protection on our students, students communities, management of institutions and the generality of Ogun citizens, he added.

“We strongly believe God in his infinite mercy will listen to us, hear our cry and plea, and avert all evil occurrences and plans of the devil over us all, he concluded.
