Sokoto state commissioner of police places ban on movement of motorcycles from 11pm to 6am

The sokoto state commissioner of police, Mr. Ibrahim Kaoje, has places ban on movement of commercial motorcycles, Tricycles from 11pm to 6am.

This is contained in a press statement release on Monday 16th, March 2020, signed by ASP Muhammad Abubakar Sadiq, the state police public relations officer (PPRO), Sokoto command

The press release tittle ‘Fortification of security: Sokoto Police command moves to ban movement of motorcycles, tricycles, shut down tea vendors from 11.pm to 6.am’.

It read in part, in sustaining the concerted efforts of the command in combating armed robbery, kidnapping and other criminal activities, the sokoto state police commissioner, Ibrahim Kaoje psc, direct.

It further read, Henceforth, a ban has been placed on the movement of commrercial motorcycles, tricycles from 11pm to 6am, effective immediately with the exception on essential services.

Also ‘all tea vendors popularly refered to as ‘mai shayi’ are to shut down businesses for the day from 11pm to 6am.

He however enjoins the good people of sokoto state to remain steadfast in obedience to law and order, and to exercise maximum restraint towards violation of orders.

It is imperative to note that violators will be decisively sanctioned in accordance with the law.
