SO-SAFE CORPS  TRAIN OVER 1000 PERSONNEL IN OGUN

OGUN – In a bid to ensure adequate security and safety, the Ogun State Community Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) has trained over 1000 officers in it’s courses designed to tackle insecurity, kidnapping and other violent crimes in the society in a – 3 day training programme. 

The special training programme today Tuesday 8th October 2019 had it’s closing ceremony at So-Safe Corps Academy Annex, Old Intercontinental Training School, Ofada,  Ogun State with the theme “Towards A Secured Community” which served as part of efforts to bring about effective performance and enhance their capacity for better security services in the state.

In his address, the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State command, Bashir Dabup Makama who was represented by Oluseye Akinfolahan, DPO Owode Egba Police Division asked the participants to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the training to improve the security formation of the state towards ensuring adequate security of lives and properties. 

On her part, Mrs Olusola Osasona, Director, Ogun State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs urged the trained officers to justify government spendings by judiciously put into use the knowledge imparted through the training for better human performance.

In his remark, Commander Seni Ogunyemi of Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) ably represented by Mr. M. Ajayi enjoined the participants to use the intensive training received to put and end to violence and activities of unscrupulous elements disturbing the peace and tranquility of the society. 

Some of the topics covered in the training included the power of observation, human trafficking and its negative implication, as well as practical experiment on arms handling among others.

The  So Safe Corps commander Mr Soji Ganzallo fcai while addressing, disclosed that the training is another milestone in the history of the So Safe Corps. Commander Ganzallo therefore appreciated the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bashir Makama for his cooperation and support towards series of training he provided for his men.

Ganzallo while eulogizing the state government said the effort of the state government and the collaboration with other security agencies has gone a long way with achievements in the state as one of the most peaceful state in Nigeria.

He also opined that the synergy between So-Safe and other security agencies in the state is very superb aand ommended his men for the time and dedication they set aside for the training.

Dignitaries at the event include; Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Cabinet, Isikilu Olanrewaju Saka, Olu of Owode, Oba Sowemimo, Olu of Ofada, Oba Rabiu Adewunmi, Oniro of Iroland, Oba Najeem Alani, Onimoko of Mokoland, Oba Ademola Joseph, Director, Inspectorate and monitoring Mr Olaleye Kamil. 

Others are Mr. Adesanya Oyelude, Bro Oyetunde Adesanya DAS Min of LG & CA, Adesoji Adewuyi, Ogun State So-Safe Corps Commander, Commander Soji Ganzallo, Moruf Kolawole Yusuf, So-Safe Public Relation Officer among others.
