The officers of So-Safe Crops at Ijofin Divisional Unit Ogun State have arrested a suspected rapist identified as Hunwi Nutayi. The arrest was made following a rape case reported to the Corps.
According to a release issued by ACC Moruf Yusuf, So-Safe Crops Director of Information and Public Relations and obtained by Tropic Reporters correspondent has it that Hunwi Nutayi, a 27-year-old man who was alledge of having sexual intercourse with 20 year old lady without the carnal knowledge of the victim.
ACC Yusuf said, “On Wednesday 24th June, 2020 at about 20:00hrs, the officers and men of So-Safe Corps ijofin Division following a rape case reported to the Corps acted fast and got apprehended Hunwi Nutayi, a 27yr old man who was alleged of having sexual intercourse with the rape victim, a 20yrs old lady without the carnal knowledge of the victim.”
” The criminal act was reported to have taken place in the bush while the victim was out to get some items in Sekeme / Setoko Area of Ijofin located in Ipokia Local Government.”
“The suspected rapist who confessed to the crime during interrogation lives in Huda compound, Idome Area, Idosemo, Ipokia Local Government, Ogun State, he added.
“The suspect and the victim were handed over to The Nigeria Police Force, Ipokia Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and likely prosecution, he concluded
