Sixthsense Initiative 4th Reading Competition Holds October 25

The SixthSense Initiative, publishers of school children books; Banana Peels, Sammy the Barber, Sarat Derat, Animals and Birds in English and The Sisters in partnership with Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Abeokuta will on Monday 25th October, 2021 hold its 4th edition of the free Children Reading Competition Programme for ages 5 to 15 years at the Main Auditorium, Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, Ogun State between 8:00am to 4:00pm.

According to a release signed by the Coordinator Sixth Sense Series Publications and Founder, The SixthSense Initiative, Abiodun Oladimeji Lasile has it that the theme for the 4th edition of the free reading competition is “Reading culture: A Tool for Successful learning and self actualisation within a new Generation”.

He stated further that the event will be formally declared open by former Nigerian President Chief Dr. Olusegun Obasanjo GCFR with about 80 Schools and 800 pupils and students participating in lecture, demonstration, storytelling, workshop and reading competition.

He said, “tSSi Special Guests include Oloye Lekan Alabi, Ekefa Olubadan of Ibadanland and first Culture Ambassador of the National Museum and Monument, Ile Ife; Chief Mrs Alaba Lawson, Iyalode of Yorubaland and CEO Lawson Group of Schools; Dr Kola Soyele, Provost, Federal College of Education, Abeokuta; Guinness World Record Holder Bayode Olawunmi, Chief Joju Fadairo, Chairman, Board of Trustees, The SixthSense Initiative and many other dignitaries.”

“Other people expected at the occasion are representative of registered schools (public and private) across the State and neighbouring State, officials of Ogun State Ministry of Education Science and Technology, Publishers, Proprietors and stakeholders in education industry.”

Mr. Abiodun Lasile, Creator/Coordinator, Sixth Sense Series Publishers and founder of The SixthSense Initiative (tSSi) disclosed that Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Participation, Lunch, Refreshments, Exercise Books and lots of Books are to be distributed at the event to encourage reading culture among the New Generation.”

“The SixthSense Initiative has created TEN Concepts geared towards promoting reading in children to increase child capacity development in accordance and to support SDG Goal No. 4 in order to eradicate poverty on our land.”

“The SixthSense Initiative is the promoter of Summer Children Reading CAMP, Community Mobile Library Services, Multilevel Children Reading Chain, Reading Culture Magazine, Outdoor Reading Culture Advertising, Media Awareness Campaign and Know-A-Book Game
