In her judgment delivered on Thursday in Ilorin, which lasted nearly five hours, Justice Salman pointed out that these offenses are capital crimes under Nigerian law, punishable by death.

The convicts, who have waited six years for justice, were sentenced to death by hanging.

Recall that the heinous robbery took place on April 5, 2018, in Offa, Kwara State, where the armed robbers launched a violent assault around a bank area.

The attack resulted in the deaths of 39 people, including pregnant women and police officers, marking the incident as one of Nigeria’s most horrific robbery cases.
