The Channels TV reporter, Precious Owolabi, who was killed during the violent clash between the Police and protesting Shi’ite members in Abuja on Monday, has been buried.

He was reportedly buried at the Basawa Cemetery in Zaria, Kaduna State.

Owolabi, was a serving Corp member with the Channels TV when the incident occurred. The clash also claimed the life of a Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, FCT, Umar.

The Shi’ites group had since blamed the police for what happened.

His remains were interred in a coffin draped on National Youth Service Corps flag by his colleagues.

His family members could not hold back tears as the remains deposited at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Shika, were conveyed to the Wusasa cemetery around 9.00am in a white ambulance.

It was a worse moment for family members, colleagues as well as dozens of sympathisers as they shed tears uncontrollably as the body was lowered into the grave after the funeral service.
