Ogun State Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OGUNCCIMA), has expressed sadness over the passing of its Past President and Chairman, Board of Directors, Iyalode Alaba Oluwaseun Lawson.
OGUNCCIMA, in a condolence message issued by its President, Engr. Mike Akingbade, described the death of Chief Lawson, as a colossal loss, not only in Ogun State, but to Nigeria and the business world.
Akingbade said her death would create a vacuum to fill in Egbaland and Yorubaland, where she was a symbol of unity and traditional values.
Engr. Akingbade noted that Iyalode Lawson was one of the foremost pillars of the Chamber movement, an amazon and an entrepreneur who took education and business to an enviable level in Nigeria.
He said,”On behalf of the Council and EXCOS of OGUNCCIMA, I want to express my sincere condolences to the family, friends and associates of Iyalode our past president and Chairman Board of Director, Alaba Lawson, MFR”.
“While we mourn the exit of this great woman of purpose, an amazon and a bridge builder, we cherish and celebrate her achievements, her philanthropy and the many lives she positively impacted”.
“I pray that God Almighty will grant her eternal rest and grant her immediate family, friends, Chamber movement, associates and people of Ogun State, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”, he added.
