Corps Members have been admonished to serve their fatherland as good ambassadors of their respective families, schools and NYSC.

The Director-General, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim stated this while addressing 2019 Batch ‘B’ Stream Two Corps Members during his Camp Tour to Nasarawa State Orientation Camp in Keffi.

He urged them to maintain good records and avoid every criminal intent that may stain their reputation and possibly affect them in the future.

‘Remember the sons and daughters of whom you are. Think of the investments your parents made on your education up till dateBand don’t do anything that would inflict pain in their hearts’, the DG stated.

He also advised the Corps Members to embrace the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Programme that NYSC has made available for them to acquire skills that would make them job creators and employers of labour.

‘Try and participate in the in-camp and post-camp training that will enable you become wealth creators’.

‘We are into partnership with the Bank of Industry, Central Bank of Nigeria and other stakeholders that give loans to Corps Members with minimal interest to start their businesses’, the DG said.

Ibrahim, who added that NYSC has contributed immensely to the socio-economic development of the country and promotion of National Unity advised the Corps Members to identify the felt needs of their host communities and execute projects that would reduce their sufferings.

‘Ensure you contribute to the development of your host communities either through personal or group community development projects’, he added.
