Senator Solomon Adeola (APC, Ogun West), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, has extended his warm greetings to Muslims across Nigeria in celebration of Eid-el-Maulud, marking the birth of the Holy Prophet Mohammed.

In a statement signed by his Media Adviser, Chief Kayode Odunaro, Senator Adeola encouraged all Muslims and Nigerians to adopt the teachings and emulate the life of the Prophet, particularly in areas such as love, humility, peaceful coexistence, and religious tolerance.

He emphasized that many of the country’s societal challenges could be alleviated if people embraced the values taught by Prophet Mohammed.

“Most of our societal challenges and problems will be greatly diminished if all adherents of the Islamic faith and indeed other Nigerians follow the teachings and precepts of Prophet Mohammed,” Adeola stated.

The senator also urged Muslims to pray for Nigeria’s peace and security during these trying times, stressing that overcoming national challenges requires a collective effort, including prayers for divine intervention.

“Our national challenges require all hands to be on deck, including supplication to Almighty Allah for divine intervention to crown our genuine labour with great harvest,” he said.

Reflecting on the significance of the Holy Prophet’s life, Adeola noted, “In his lifetime, Prophet Mohammed set parameters and precepts in all areas of life in his teachings and personal life. The world will be a better place for all if all can emulate the Holy Prophet’s examples of piousness, love, humility, tolerance, and sacrifice.”
