Senator Solomon Adeola, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, has congratulated Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, on his reappointment as Chairman of the Ogun State Council of Obas.
In a statement, signed by Chief Kayode Odunaro, Media Adviser to Senator Adeola, he commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for the appointment, noting that it would give traditional rulers a sense of belonging in the state’s affairs.
He described Oba Olugbenle as a highly educated and modernizing monarch, expressing confidence that he would bring his wealth of experience to drive the developmental roles of traditional institutions in the state.
The senator emphasized the importance of traditional rulers in maintaining security, safety, and good order in society, prerequisites for development and well-being.
He congratulated Oba Olugbenle and all royal fathers for their positive roles in society, predicting that his tenure would bring great development to traditional institutions and the state at large.
“I am not in doubt that your tenure will bring great development for the traditional institutions in the state as well as general development of the society through wise royal counsel. I congratulate you and all our royal fathers for your positive roles in the society” he stated.
