ABEOKUTA – Parents have been charged to teach their children moral values for them live a life of integrity and purpose.
The Director of Taidob College, Mr. Obawunmi Jiboku came up with this while receiving a group of media professionals and entrepreneurs who paid him a courtesy visit in his office at Asero Estate, Abeokuta, Ogun State ahead of the integrity campaign 2.0 slated for September.
The leader of the delegation, Mr. Waheed Ogunjobi informed the Director that undergraduates from all tertiary institutions across the Gateway State are expected to speak out through different definitions of integrity, as a way of influencing them positively.
Ogunjobi let out that the definitions by the students would be packaged in a video and shown to the public alongside a lecture by the Chief Executive Officer of the National Library of Nigeria, Professor Lenrie Olatokunbo Aina on Sunday 29th September, 2019 at the Auditorium, Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta, Ogun State.
In his response, Mr. Obawunmi Jiboku commended the initiator of the idea, advising parents to, as a matter of necessity, instill integrity qualities in their children, who pick up traits exhibited by the elders.
The Director used the meeting to eulogise the Proprietor of the College, Professor Abayomi Jiboku who stood for integrity in all ramifications and ensured same in the runnings of the school.
He urged the team to consider taking the campaign to the Primary Schools, being the first ladder of formal education.
He therefore commended the group for the choice of “before you act, think integrity” as theme of the campaign.
Mr Jiboku however assured of the College’s support towards the successful hosting of the event, saying the school has always identified with projects that add value to the society.
