Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has slashed the tuition fees to be paid by pioneer students of the two newly established Universities, Lagos State University of Education (LASUED) Ijanikin/Epe and Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) Ikorodu, by 65%.

A statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Tokunbo Wahab, said the management of the two new Universities, LASUED and LASUSTECH, had proposed a tuition fee of N195, 000:00 for their pioneer students billed to resume for the new Academic Session before Governor Sanwo-Olu reduced it to N68,000:00 in consideration of the present economic situation and its impact on many parents.

Wahab stated further that Governor Sanwo-Olu Administration would not only continue to give necessary support to the two Universities but would work towards making them two of the best in the country.

Recall that the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Abubakar Rasheed on February 8, 2022 handed over Certificates for the two new Universities, Lagos State University of Education (LASUED) and Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUST), to the Governor at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja.
