. . . Recipients Pledge Commitment To Greater Lagos Vision

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has presented brand new vehicles to the eleven Permanent Secretaries appointed on September 9, 2022.

The Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola, conducted the brief handover ceremony at the State House, Alausa, earlier today.

Muri-Okunola, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Head of Service, Mrs. Sukanmi Oyegbola, said the tradition was maintained to demonstrate the government’s resolve to provide all necessary resources to make the appointees give their best in service delivery to the State.

The Head of Service urged the Permanent Secretaries to make a difference in their new roles by providing excellent leadership that would make officers render selfless service to the State.

“Lagos will achieve its Greater Lagos Vision if leaders in the Civil Service carry their staff along and encourage them to be patriotic to the State,” Muri-Okunola said.

Responding on behalf of the recipients, Mrs. Oyegbola expressed gratitude to Governor Sanwo-Olu and the Head of Service for considering the appointees worthy to serve Lagos State as Permanent Secretaries.

She assured that all appointees will join hands with their colleagues in the Body of Permanent Secretaries to achieve the set goals of the present administration.

Her words: “We will not let Mr. Governor and the Head of Service down. We will carry the torch until we reach the Greater Lagos destination”.

“I wish to thank our benevolent Mr. Governor and, of course, our amiable and proactive Head of Service for counting us worthy of not only being appointed but for these brand-new vehicles”, she said.
