Rotary Club Of Obantoko Installs Adeniran As President

The Rotary Club of Obantoko, District 9110 Nigeria has installed Rotarian Titilope Easy Adeniran as its new President.

The Club, whose major objectives is to provide humanitarian services and foster the ideal of service as a basic of worthy enterprise, crowned Adeniran as its President at a low key event held recently due to the ravaging coronavirus pandemic at Federal College of Education, Osiele, Abeokuta, Ogun State and also transmitted live via Zoom to conform with government’s directives on physical distance rules to curb the community spread of Covid-19.

Rotarian Adeniran who started his Rotary life with the Interact Club of Metropolitan College, Isolo, Lagos State in 1988 where he became the SAA in 1990-1991 and the President in 1991-1992 rotary year the same year where he served as the President of Literary & Debating Society.

He later joined the Rotaract club of LAUTECH, Ogbomoso in 1994 then District 9130, Nigeria and served in various capacities both within and outside the rotary family.

Rotarian Adeniran became Charter President, Rotaract Club of LAUTECH, 1997- 1998, Chairman – Rotaract Officers Training Seminar, District 9130 1999 – 2000, Vice President – Rotaract Club of Iyaganku-Ibadan 2000-2001, Member – Ethics Drafting Committee for Rotaract District 9130 and District Rotaract Representative [DRR] District 9130 2002-2003 among other key positions.

Adeniran in his Rotary New year speech obtained by our correspondent in Abeokuta today said that his installation as new Rotary Club of Obantoko was not a moment of pleasure for him, but a moment of responsibility which has been put on his shoulders to complete within one-year time.

Rotarian Adeniran enjoined all Rotarians to serve with honesty and integrity as today, 1st July, 2020 symbolizes the beginning of new Rotary year.

He equally thanked all members of Rotary Club of Obantoko for their unwavering support and opportunity granted him to serve in this capacity.

He said, “one good think about Rotary is that positions are generally for one year. So, whatever one has to do, should be done within this time frame.”

Speaking on his vision for the year, the newly installed President said some of the projects to be executed in the current rotary year will include; prostrate cancer screening, polio walk, peace campaign, signature projects in three locations in Abeokuta, February -2021 – Dubai Trip, vocational training for youths, skill acquisition and empowerment, donation to Center for Adult Education with E- Club of Greater Nigeria D9125 among others.

The newly installed President advised therefore that the club should continue to do good to various people out there that need help and succor in whatever area of life.

He used the opportunity to appreciate members for the active role played during the polio campaign and said more efforts must put in place to rid-off the environment of polio.

Present at the installation include; Ebun Atinuke (Assistant Governor), All Past Presidents of the Club, AG Segun Kuyoro, Adekunle Musa (Past President), Omolara Kuyoro via zoom (Past President), AG Sina Adepoju, Muftau Adelotan (District Secretary), President Grace Oni and a host of others.
