Revd. Fola Achudume’s Life of Impact Paints Abeokuta with Vibrant Colors at Final Farewell

Abeokuta, Ogun State — In a vibrant display of color and tribute, Reverend Fola Achudume, beloved spouse of Apostle Lawrence Achudume and an enduring figure of faith and service, was laid to rest today in Abeokuta.

The celebration of her life, held at the Victory Life Bible Church (VLBC) Life Cathedral, drew dignitaries from all walks of life, filling the atmosphere with both reverence and a sense of honor for a life of immeasurable impact.

The atmosphere was cladded in the distinctive purple hues symbolizing the legacy of Reverend Fola Achudume (RFA), attendees created a visual testament to the profound influence she had on her community and beyond.

The vibrancy of the occasion reflected the joy she brought to the lives of countless people, from her work within the church to her tireless efforts across multiple foundations.

The state Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, represented by his Deputy, Engineer Noimot Salako-Oyedele, did acknowledge this as he praised Reverend Achudume as an “ambassador of Christ” who lived a life dedicated to service. “Her passing is a great loss, but her life was a beacon of hope and strength for so many. She has left an indelible mark on both the church and society,” he remarked.

As colorful as the event was, so were the stories and testimonies of Reverend Achudume’s remarkable life. Representatives from various foundations she had been a part of, including the Old Students’ Association and the Save the Girl Foundation, shared moving tributes, painting a picture of a woman whose love, dedication, and philanthropy changed countless lives. “Her efforts to empower women, mentor the youth, and promote education through her involvement in these initiatives will continue to resonate for years to come,” one speaker noted.

A speaker also noted that plans are on the way to establish Reverend Fola Achudume foundation which will be to help the needy, special needs in the society, scholarships and lots more.

Tributes were also paid by other dignitaries, one of which was Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, wife of the Ogun State Governor, who described Reverend Achudume as “God’s General” and expressed deep sorrow at her passing.

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, echoed these sentiments, referring to the late Reverend as “an amazon” who devoted her life to uplifting others, particularly women and the youth.

The service was also highlighted by a moving sermon from Prophet Isa El-Buba, General Overseer of El Buba Outreach Ministry International, who emphasized the need for righteousness in the face of life’s transience. He lauded Reverend Achudume for her unwavering faith and her remarkable impact on the lives of many across Nigeria.

Reflecting on the significance of Reverend Achudume’s passing, Pastor Femi Emmanuel, Presiding Pastor of Livingspring Chapel International, spoke during the night of tributes. In his message, he assured the congregation that Apostle Lawrence Achudume and the church remain triumphant, even in this difficult time.

Reverend Funke Adejumo of Agape Christian Ministries prayed for her soul’s peaceful rest, noting that she had “fought the good fight of faith.”

In a ceremony that was as much a celebration of life as it was a final farewell, Reverend Fola Achudume’s legacy stood tall. Her dedication to faith, her commitment to empowering the less privileged, and her undeniable impact on the youth, women, and church communities ensured that, though her physical body has been laid to rest, her spirit and influence will continue to inspire future generations.
