ABEOKUTA – The Renewed Woman Foundation, a non – governmental, non – profit making organization (NGO) this Friday donated educational materials to no fewer than 70 pupils from two primary schools in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The outreach which was aimed at giving support to children lacking necessary educational materials was held at Alhaja Kudirat Abiola Model Primary School, Ebu-Alaparo, Owu-Totoro and Sought-After Creative Academy located at Adigbe, Abeokuta, Ogun State respectively.

The educational materials donated to the pupils were writing materials, exercise books, uniforms and school bags.

Speaking at the event, the Convener of the foundation, Adetorera Obimakinde, said the outreach was organized to commemorate her birthday anniversary and it also serves as part of the organization’s Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) to the society.

She said a lot of school age children across the nation suffers from the necessary educational facilities that could boost their educational performances.

She emphasized on the need to educate young people, saying that it would help secure their brighter future, not just for the children but with end benefit to the society.

Obimakinde stressed that the organization’s support was a demonstration of love and belief that children are not only valuable and priceless assets to the family but also to the society and the nation.

She thereafter charged the pupils to be of good character, take their education serious and shun all forms of indiscipline that can tarnish their image which may prevent them from achieving their life goals.


While presenting the materials to the schools, Obimakinde noted that the intent of the donation was to assist in the delivery of quality education to the less-privileged children.

The heads of the schools visited appreciated the convener of the NGO and her team members for their kind gestures and assistance to the less-privileged pupils and prayed that God should bless them more in order to render more helps to the less-privileged people.

They equally called on well-meaning Nigerians and government to emulate The Renewed Woman Foundation towards making life suitable for the needy.
