Former Niger Delta militant leader Mujahid Asari-Dokubo has issued a strong warning to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, urging him to abandon any plans to remove Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara.
In a recent appearance on the Arise TV Morning Show, Asari-Dokubo emphasized the potential ramifications of such an action, stating unequivocally that “if Fubara is removed, something will happen.”
Asari-Dokubo expressed his disappointment with the current political dynamics in Rivers State, particularly concerning President Bola Tinubu’s support for Wike.
“President Ahmed Bola Tinubu becoming President, I should be able to tell him the truth and what is happening in Rivers State where President Tinubu is supporting Wike to destabilize and disturb the peace of Rivers State,” he said. “As a stakeholder in the state, I feel disappointed.”
He further criticized the actions of Wike, accusing him of overstepping his authority. “For the President to allow his minister to run amok, procure judgment and all sorts, threatening the people of Rivers State because what they are trying to do is remove Fubara, thinking nothing will happen,” he remarked.
Asari-Dokubo concluded with a stark warning: “And I am saying that if you remove Fubara, something will happen. And that is it.”
