The Association of Table Water Producers (ATWAP) has increased the price of sachet (‘pure’) water to N300 per bag.
Clementina Ativie, the National President of the association, made this revelation in a statement on Wednesday.
The association has taken the unanimous decision during the national convention of ATWAP in Abuja.
Ativie added that the inflation of the price was due to the economy of the country, and the current prices of products in the country.
“The price of sachet water popularly known as pure water is now N300 per bag as the company price.
“There will be no extra bag or extra pieces henceforth for wholesale or retail buyers,” she said.
The President further said that the cost of production had increased beyond the ability of the people.
She added that the price would assist the producers to keep up with bills, expenses and keep the business in line.
The statement has appealed to members of the public to be understanding.r
It would be recalled that the association, on November 11, 2021 inflated the price of a bag of pure water to N200.
