In celebration of Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will address the nation on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
The broadcast, set for 7 a.m., will air on major television and radio stations across the country.
In a statement released on Monday, Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, announced, “President Tinubu will speak to the nation as part of activities marking the 64th Independence Anniversary. His address will touch on key national issues and reflect on Nigeria’s progress since 1960.”
Onanuga further called on media outlets to ensure seamless coverage of the broadcast, stating, “Television, radio stations, and other electronic media are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) for the live transmission.”
The President’s address is expected to resonate with Nigerians as the country reflects on its achievements and challenges over the past 64 years.
