President Bola Tinubu has sworn in Mrs. Esther Didi Walson-Jack as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, charging her to serve the nation with integrity and transparency.
At the swearing-in ceremony, which preceded the Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja on Monday, President Tinubu praised the outgoing Head of Service, Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan, for her exceptional tenure.
The President described Dr. Yemi-Esan’s commitment to duty, loyalty, and vision as exemplary, noting that she had set a high standard for public administration in the country.
In her remarks, Mrs. Walson-Jack thanked President Tinubu for the confidence reposed in her and promised to build on existing reforms to bring innovation and creativity to the civil service.
With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, Mrs. Walson-Jack has held key positions in various ministries and is credited with several initiatives, including the Federal Integrated Staff Housing Programme.
She is also an accomplished author, with her novel “Roses in the Thorns” to her credit.
New Head of Service Pledges to Deliver on Renewed Hope Agenda
The new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Esther Didi Walson-Jack, has pledged to work towards delivering on the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President Bola Tinubu administration.
Speaking to the media after her swearing-in, Mrs. Walson-Jack expressed her gratitude to the President for the opportunity to serve and promised to bring innovation and creativity to the civil service.
She also thanked the outgoing Head of Service, Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan, for her mentorship and guidance throughout her career.
With her wealth of experience and expertise, Mrs. Walson-Jack is expected to lead the civil service to greater heights of efficiency and effectiveness.
