Popular online comedian and comic actor, Abdulgafar Ahmad,  better known as Cute Abiola has announced that the Nigerian Navy has approved his exit from the force.

The skit maker made this known on Friday via his verified Facebook account.

According to him, serving in the Navy has helped instill in him the discipline needed to have a successful life.

“With profound gratitude, I deeply appreciate the Nigerian Navy for giving me the uncommon @opportunity to imbibe discipline through a regimented procedure in the areas of career development, moral values, and work ethics, to mention but a few. I can dauntlessly say that I have the required intelligence and human development finesse to continue to live a prosperous life.”

While appreciating the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo and his senior colleagues, he enjoined his fans and well wishes to join him in pouring encomium on them for contributing immensely to his career growth.

“I urge all my fans to join me in appreciating the Chief of Naval Staff and all my senior colleagues for contributing immensely to my career development, while I used their pedestal to realize my duty of protecting and defending our dear country. Sincerely, the Nigerian Navy has become my roadmap to a sustainable career path.”

He added that the fact that the Chief of Naval staff approved his exit from the force so that he can focus more on his career in the entertainment industry is a testimony that the Navy truly cares about the dreams and aspirations of their personnel.

“I was overwhelmed with regard to the approval of my exit from the Navy by the Chief of Naval Staff so as for me to have enough time to passionately pursue my dreams. This singular act of the Chief of Naval Staff is highly terrific and it shows how the Navy is very passionate about the dreams of their officers.

He, however, disclosed that although he has exited the Navy but will continue to be a good ambassador of the Navy both at home and in the diaspora.

“I am still a part of the Nigerian Navy family, and I promise to continue to positively represent the Nigerian Navy either in Nigeria or abroad. I am proud to have served in Such an institution as the Nigerian Navy.

“I want to sincerely appreciate all my senior colleagues, colleagues and junior colleagues who were very instrumental to my success story, for my wish to you is fair winds and following seas, because I know you will always remain faithful. Thank you the Nigerian Navy” he concluded.

His exit from the Navy Force is coming a few hours after he was appointed  by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara state as Special Assistant on Creative Industries.

The comedian was in November 2021 detained for some days by the Nigerian Navy as a punishment for contravening military laws by posting a video of himself in military uniform on social media, an act which is said to violate the armed forces’ social media policy.
