Nigerian Police Force has again been described as one whose brutality is fast becoming an unbearable menace to the general public.
The National Director, Right Thinkers Global Initiative a.k.a. EAGLEPING Mr Olamide Emmanuel disclosed this while speaking on the Yoruba current affairs program Ojuabe on Splash FM Abeokuta.
He said that the police force has not been meeting up with the expectations of Nigerians adding that the citizen’s distrust in the force can be linked to the bad behavior already associated with the force saying it serves as a huge deterrent to the system.
He intoned that until the citizens were comfortable with seeing men of the force as their friend and the force presenting itself as a friend, only then will there be peace in the land.
He called on the police officers to learn how to deal with their temperament as it would help put things in the right perspective.
While calling for a rebranding of the force, he appealed to the officers to always have it in mind that they are working for the people and the good of the land.
