The police in Delta says it has arrested three suspected armed robbers, kidnappers and cultists in the Delta communities of Oghara, Sapele and Oleh town.
The command in a statement by its spokesperson Edafe Bright made available to our correspondent, said the suspects where arrested by the special team deployed to Ughelli by the state police commissioner Olufemi Abaniwonda and led by ASP Julius Robinson.
According to the police, the suspects were arrested in three different locations in Oghara, Sapele and Oleh.
The suspects were also said to belong to the Eiye confraternity, while items recovered from them include one pump action gun and one new AK 47 rifle with empty magazines.
Meanwhile, the Delta police commissioner CP Olufemi Abaniwonda has commended officers and men of the police for their gallantry, as he calls for cooperation among members of the public in tackling crime in the state.
