Plateau Governor Mutfwang Suspends Two Commissioners, Others

Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau has suspended two incumbent commissioners, a special adviser and a liaison officer.

Mr Mutfwang announced the suspension in a statement by Gyang Bere, his spokesperson, on Tuesday in Jos.

The suspended government officials included Chrysanthus Dawam and Jamila Tukur, the commissioners for budget and economic planning and that of tourism, culture and hospitality, respectively.

Others affected by the suspension were Dio Lamul, special adviser on rural development, and Moses Sule, the liaison officer for the Mikang Constituency.

Mr Bere said the suspension took immediate effect but did not state the reason for the disciplinary action.

However, Peoples Gazette reached out to Mr Bere to find out the specific reason for their suspension, but he did not respond at the time of this report.
