Plateau Gov calls for continuous peace

Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong has called for continuous sustenance of peace already existing in the state.

Governor Lalong stated this at the swearing in ceremony of Mr. Jock Alamba as the new Management Committee Chairman of Barkin Ladi Local Government area.

Mr. Jock Alamba is replacing Ezekiel Mandyau who died in July this year.

Performing the ceremony in Jos, Governor Lalong urged the newly appointed Chairman to maintain the foundation of peace building already established by his predecessor

The governor charged Mr. Alamba to be prudent in the management of resources and accord priority to programmes and projects that have direct bearing on the people.

The Governor also urged him to carry out robust community engagement and public awareness in the fight against COVID-19, noting that the state was witnessing community transmission.

The newly sworn in chairman mr. Jock Alamba in a remark pledged to align himself with the developmental policies of the Lalong’s administration.

Mr. Alamba appreciated the Governor for finding him worthy to serve and pledged his total support.
