Ambassador Babatunde Adeyemo, a prominent real estate entrepreneur and philanthropist, has increased his support for the family of the late Ogun State journalist, Com. Wale Adewunmi.
Through his Oko Opo Foundation, he has pledged to provide free medical care for 12 months, a monthly stipend of N25,000 for six months for the widow, Mrs. Titilope Adewunmi, and full sponsorship of the education of the late Adewunmi’s 16-year-old child, Mokeseoluwa, up to university level.
Adeyemo, who is also the CEO of Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited, a leading real estate firm, behind the Pelican Valley Estate Laderin, Abeokuta as well as the Pelican Brief Estate, Pelican Ecostay Apartments and Pelican’s Greenish Acre Farm Estate at the Kobape corridor of the state, made this known during a condolence visit to the family on Sunday at their Obantoko residence in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
Accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Titilayo Adeyemo, and members of the Oko Opo Foundation, he also provided food items to the family.
Adeyemo encouraged the widow to find solace in her faith, extolling the virtues of the deceased as a dedicated journalist, loving husband, and caring father.
The Oko Opo Foundation is a charitable organization established to support widows, children, and the downtrodden in society.
